Eighth grade recognition night will be at the halftime of Thursdays 12/18 game versus Hillsboro. Game time is 4:30. There will only be one game that night. At halftime, we would like eighth grade parents and guardians that are in attendance to lineup on the north baseline of the court. Our athletes will be introduced in numerical order based on the roster and will meet you on the baseline for a token gift exchange and be recognized. Attention eighth grade basketball parents: here's a few updates on the CKL basketball tournament to help you prepare for next week and plan accordingly.
RVMS will host Hillsboro again on Thursday, December 18 for the first round of the CKL tournament. Game time is 4:30 PM and it will be played at RVMS. Eighth grade recognition night is that evening. More on that and another post.
If we win on Thursday, the remainder of the CKL tournament is held in Halstead. The tournament starts at 9 AM. More information will be passed on to you as we get it from the host school

ATTENTION 8th Grade Girls Basketball Parents: Monday, 12/15, at the Reno County Homeschool basketball game, we will recognize eighth grade girls basketball players and their parents/guardian at the conclusion of the seventh grade basketball game. Arrive no later than 5:15 PM and sit wherever you would like. Go Panthers!
Come out and support your RVMS basketball teams tomorrow versus Hillsboro. Boys will play at RVMS and girls will play at the district complex. Show your spirit by dressing in favorite Christmas clothing and decor and don't forget at RVMS last chance to participate in the duck toss challenge. Go Panthers!

RVMS, boys and girls basketball results from Lyons. A team boys won 35–30, the B team boys lost 17–41 and the C team boys won 37–31. The A team girls lost 29–46, the B team girls won 29–26 and the C team girls lost 6–25. Teams will again be in action on Monday as they travel to take on the Halstead dragons

Time to recognize some RVMS Boys Cross Country highlights this past season! Eighth grade boys as a team earned first place at the Lyons Invitational Cross Country meet and Cooper McConnell was the 1st place medalist at the CKL league meet and also our new eighth grade boys 2 mile cross country record holder with a time of 11:35.00 at the Larned meet. Congratulations eighth grade boys and coaches!
