Parents, here is a quick reference guide to get started with using Rooms. We are still trying to work out any kinks that we may come across, but want to start using Rooms as soon as possible. Our coaches will be using this as their form of communication with players and parents. If you have any problems or issues while trying to use Rooms, please contact the school and we will do our best to assist you. Please feel free to share this image in an effort to help get this information to parents.

Clarification! Activity Bus Will run at 4:30 PM on Friday the 23rd for RVMS wrestlers
RVMS wrestling information to help everyone plan for and navigate next week. No practice on Monday, January 19th. Normal practice times and locations on Tuesday and Wednesday. First wrestling tournament is Thursday at NHS, starting at 4 PM . There will be no transportation after the meet so you'll need to pick up your athlete at the high school in Nickerson at the end of the meet around 7 PM. Practice on Friday the 23rd will be at RVMS. Parent pick up will be at 4:30 and Activity Bus will run as normal. Pick up will be at RVMS. Athletes will need to be at RVMS Saturday the 24th at 6 AM to load the bus for our tournament. Pick up will be that evening at RVMS. Go Panthers!

Attention, RVMS wrestling parents: are you looking for an easy way to feed your kids at wrestling meets? Here is an option. We are once again teaming up with Lindsay Prater to provide a ready to go meal for the kids. See attachment for all the details. You can Venmo her or pay cash or check to Mr. Mintzmyer or Mr. Hollinger. Please make checks out to Lindsay Prater. She will have these meals available for our first meet on Thursday, January 22 if you've paid by then.

🦷 GRACEMED DENTAL DAYS ARE COMING THIS MONTH! 🦷
Kansas State Statute 72-6251 requires all students enrolled in Kansas schools to receive a free dental screening each year. In compliance with this requirement, GraceMed will be providing dental screenings for our district.
🪥 Why it matters:
Oral health is an important part of a child’s overall health and plays a critical role in their ability to learn and succeed in school. (Please note that this screening does not replace a regular dental exam with your dentist.)
📄 Consent Information:
• Paper consent forms will be sent home with all students in PreK–8th grade
• High school students wishing to receive extended services must complete the online consent form (link below)
• Passive consent is implied unless the school nurse is contacted
• If you wish to opt out, please complete the back side of the paper form or contact D’ana Heinlein, USD 309 District Nurse
📝 What to expect:
• A copy of the screening results will be sent home with your child
• Screenings require no sign-up
• Families may choose to sign up for expanded care (cleanings, fluoride varnish, sealants) using the online form
• A report will be sent home for any expanded services received

RVMS wrestlers starting practice tomorrow, will have transportation to the district office as well as an Activity Bus that runs after practice all provided by USD 309. Wrestling practice at the district complex ends at 5:30 PM for those parents wanting to pick their athlete up after practice.
RVMS wrestling practice starts tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7. Reminder, a current athletic physical, concussion form, parent permission and consent to treat form filled out with appropriate signatures needs to be on file in the RVMS office before a student may participate in practice. These forms are available at the school. Any student who has already participated in sports this year already has these documents on file.
CKL basketball tournament update from Hesston: RVMS boys lose to Hesston in a hard fought battle 24–41. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a fantastic season. We are proud of you!

On Saturday 12/20, Boys basketball bus leaves for Hesston at 8:15 AM. Bus departs from RVMS.
RVMS basketball fans, here is some information to help you plan for the next couple days leading up to the CKL tournament in Hesston
Tomorrow (Friday), Coach Shelton will be having practice immediately after school at RVMS. Practice ends at 2:15 PM and Activity Bus will run.
On Saturday, 12/20, We will play tonight's Hesston/Halstead winner at 10:15 AM in the auxiliary gym at Hesston. We are told that the 10:15 game could start earlier than scheduled. Plan on showing up a little early.

Congratulations to the eighth grade boys basketball team as they get by Hillsboro tonight with a score of 32-30 in advance to the finals of the CKL tournament in Hesston on Saturday
Attention! Attention! Attention! Another game time change! Eighth grade boys game versus Hillsboro tonight is at 7 PM. Athletes will be going home after school either on the bus or parent pick up and we are asking parents to bring their athlete back to the game tonight by 6 PM. A light early supper would be a good idea. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Due to high winds this afternoon, Hillsboro has elected to delay their bus transportation by an hour. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding.
